Introductions and Greetings

I am sitting here working on some "administrative" items before I start my next stitch design and wanted to give some introductions. My name is Sara Wilbur, the designer and stitcher behind Sister Lou Stitches. First of all welcome! I'm glad you stopped by!

I've been designing for about 3 years now. Something I NEVER thought I would be doing! lol! I had created a design which became Life Lessons Puddles.

Totally honesty, I had designed it for myself. At a retreat, so many ladies came up to me and complimented asking who is the designer? It got me wondering if I should try again....and I did. This led to Run Witchy Run and Dare to be Different.

I love color, which can be seen in my designs! Being a self-taught stitcher you will never see any fancy stitches on my charts. The fanciest I have so far is half stitches on a chart that will be released this year. But I don't think of half stitches as all that bad.

I'm not generally a holiday theme designer. If a design strikes my fancy and it's near that holiday that's great! But if not, it still may be picked as my next release!

You'll find 2 pages of charts on my website becasue I have some designs that my distributor has chosen to no longer carry. Shops can still buy those charts if you want one. They can contact me directly. The other page has designs that my distributor does still carry and shops can either purchase from Hoffman or directly from me. Rest assured just because Hoffman discontinues a chart doesn't mean have!!!

I didn't want to make this first blog too long so I'll sign off for now so I can get my fabric on my frame and keep stitching!
